Manfred was the only motorcycle Paul ever owned. He was a 1971 Harley Davidson Super Glide, a full 1200 cc of Milwaukee vibrator and nearly nothing in the way of brakes. Paul went down with Manfred twice, and figured that the third time might well be the charm. He sold it to a very happy fellow, who he ran into a year or so later, still riding it, but proudly sporting a scar on one calf that looked like a shark bite. Manfred's main talent was going fast and straight, anything else was a dicey proposition.
